MedOnline Inc. PLATFRORM PRIVACY POLICY
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]This Privacy Policy explains how MedOnline Inc. collects, uses, keeps safe, and discloses Personal Information. In this Policy, when we say “we”, “us” and “our”, we are referring to MedOnline Inc. (herein referred to as MedOnline). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) govern the access and/or use, by persons who have registered with MedOnline and have an Individual Account, or a profile in an Individual Account, as explained below (“you”, “your”, “User”), of applications, websites, content, products, and services (collectively referred to as the “MedOnline Platform”), owned and operated by MedOnline Inc. (“MedOnline”, “we”, “us”). For clarity, these Terms set out circumstances in which you may use the MedOnline Platform on behalf of another individual, and where you are doing so (as permitted), references to “you” and “your” in these Terms include the child or other individual listed in your account for whom you have the legal authority to seek Healthcare Services as defined below (each a “Registered
Dependent”).
“Personal Information” means information about an identifiable individual such as first
name, last name, email address, and telephone number.
1. COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
MedOnline collects, uses, and discloses Personal Information only for the purposes of providing you with our Services and for other purposes you consent to as a user. We will collect the minimum amount of information required to facilitate the Services. We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or the instructions provided in any email we send.
2. PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal Information is information that refers to you specifically, whether factual or subjective. With your consent, we may gather personal information from you in person, over the telephone, or by corresponding with you via mail or the Internet.
The types of Personal Information that we usually collect and maintain in your file may include, but is not limited to your:
Demographic Information Name Gender Mailing Address Email Address Telephone Number Provincial Health Insurance Number Date of Birth Health Information Height Weight Personal Medical History Family medical History Allergies Results of Diagnostic Tests (blood tests, x-rays, MRI, CT, etc.) Dates of Consultations Results of Medical Examinations, etc. For every consultation, whether in person, over the telephone or by corresponding with you via mail or the Internet, physicians must collect, organize, hold and maintain a medical chart with information relevant to the medical problem or incident expressed.
MedOnline collects only such information from individuals or organizations as is required for the purposes of providing services or information to them, marketing other services or products to them (as applicable), and for aggregated statistical analyses. To the greatest extent possible, we will collect Personal Information directly from the individual concerned. In certain cases, we will be required to collect Personal Information from other sources, including but not limited to your
employer, treating physician, consulting physicians, and insurers. In those cases, we will request your consent to obtain information from those sources.
As outlined in the PIPEDA Act, personal information does not include the name, title, business address, or telephone number of an employee of an organization.
We collect Personal Information for different purposes, depending on the type of service we are providing to you or your insurer, as applicable.
These purposes include, but are not limited to:
- Providing you with executive health services;
- Providing you with occupational health services (including pre-placement examinations, periodic medical examinations, independent medical evaluations);
- Providing you with a payment method feature in order to pay for non-subsidized health services.
- Providing you with travel health services (including vaccinations and medical consultations;
- Collecting information for the underwriting requirements of insurance companies to which you are applying for life or health insurance;
- Providing you with medical imaging services (including MRI, CT, x-ray, ultrasound);
- Use to Determine Eligibility for Healthcare Services, Authentication.
- Providing disability management services to you or your employer;
- Providing you with other services or products in the future;
- Internal quality control processes; and
- Aggregated statistical analyses.
- Use for Storage. If you choose to enter, upload and store your Information or that of Registered Dependents in the Platform, such as medical records or the name and contact information for an emergency contact, we will use Information as required to maintain it on the Platform.
3. THIRD PARTY
At MedOnline, in order to provide certain services, we may contract outside organizations to perform specialized services. MedOnline will only undertake a contract with these organizations if they meet or exceed the same safety and privacy standards that we uphold to protect your Personal Information. Our trusted service suppliers may at times be responsible for processing and handling some of the information we receive from you.
In order to keep you informed about who these organizations are, we will update this section to include any details that will help you to understand the type(s) of Personal Information they handle and the purpose(s) for which we have asked them to manage this information.

Currently, we are using Stripe SDK for Payment Card Processing in our app to allow users to pay for non-covered health services. We may share with them Demographic Information Name Gender Mailing Address Email Address Telephone Number. Stripe may collect the name and payment card information
directly from MedOnline users using the app. they may store & process the information in the United States
We are also using third-party services for Fax Services, Reminders via Email and SMS, Video calls between users & physicians. All MedOnline user data is processed and stored in AWS Canada. Marketing Automation and Email Delivery, Newsletters. Information Shared by MedOnline with these parties may include: Name, phone number, certain PHI elements (such as prescriptions), health card number, date of birth, and consult the information

4. THIRD-PARTY PAYERS
As described in the MedOnline Platform Terms of Use, by authorizing someone else (a “Third Party Payer”) to pay the Fees and/or Membership Fees for your Healthcare Services, you are representing to MedOnline, and MedOnline will rely on your representation, that you consent to MedOnline:
- using the email address provided to us by the Third-Party Payer to communicate with you regarding the MedOnline Platform and Healthcare Services;
- disclosing the information that you have requested Healthcare Services to the Third-Party Payer to permit MedOnline to process payment for the Healthcare Services; and
- notifying the Third-Party Payer of any changes or termination of your access to the MedOnline Platform.

If the use of cookies by any service provider differs materially from the practices already listed, we will revise this document accordingly and notify you of the change(s).
7. INFORMATION SECURITY
MedOnline maintains reasonable safeguards to protect Personal Information against loss, unauthorized use, disclosure or destruction and when transferring information for processing and requires third parties providing services on our behalf to do the same. However, no electronic data transmission or storage of information can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Please note that we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.
8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to our information practices, but we will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We’ll post any changes to this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including email notification of Privacy Policy changes for certain Services).
We encourage you to periodically review our Privacy Policy for the latest information on our privacy practices and to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
